When to call an AGING LIFE CARE™ Manager?
It’s difficult to tell just when the situation changed, but most adult children notice a point when they are no longer the ones being cared for; they are the caregivers, the ones whom their parents depend to make decisions about finances, health care and day-to-day living. The situation may be that emergency call that comes from your elderly parent, relative or friend that there has been a hospitalization, a fall, an accident, or any crisis situation resulting in concerns for their safety, or the need for ongoing monitoring of their physical, social and emotional needs. The AARP has a guide of questions to ask your parent to determine their need for intervention and how they are managing their daily life. http://www.aarp.org/relationships/caregiving-resource-center/info-08-2010/gs_talking_points.html
If your parents, spouse or other loved one has frequent need for emergency services, if you don’t have a family member or friend close by to help with care decisions, if they have multiple chronic health issues that require close monitoring and coordination, contact Creative Care Connections, LLC for an assessment. We understand how difficult it can be to make wise decisions about the care of a parent, spouse or other person whom you love. If you live in another city or part of the country, long-distance communication issues can make the situation even more stressful and worrisome. Our goal is to give you the peace of mind that comes with knowing the people you care about are being looked after by people who care about them.
