Marie Woodard, BSN, MGA, RN-BC, CCM
Marie Woodard is a professional Aging Life Care™ Manager. Marie has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) and a Masters in Health Care Administration and is certified in Gerontological Nursing. Marie’s nursing experience includes 20 years in home health nursing in the Virginia, Maryland and D.C. area, as well as, private duty nurse assessment and care planning, emergency department nursing, public health nursing and health promotion education. Her career included nursing and health promotion education to American employees and military and their families in South Korea and Saudi Arabia. She has received certification as a Certified Case Manager and her experience has provided her skill in assessing the geriatric population and providing resources, options and choices for aging well. Marie is passionate about our older population and committed to enhancing their quality of life. She is dedicated to the preservation of their dignity as they face the physical, emotional and social challenges of aging. Marie forms a partnership with the elderly client, the health care providers, the caregivers and the family to coordinate care and offer solutions for the safety and wellbeing of the client and peace of mind for the family.
Marie serves on the Board of Virginia Association for Home Care and Hospice and Fairfax County Long Term Care Coordinating Council. Marie is a member of Aging Life Care™ Association and the Academy of Certified Care Managers.
